This TV series did for the island of Cres, Valun and Lubenice what "Game of Thrones" is doing for Dubrovnik or Split today - made them a common name all over Europe (or at least in german speaking countries) and brought hundreds and thousands visitors. It helped made a few of its actors into true stars - Ulrich Faulhaber,
Heinz Petters and Erwin Steinhauer, while among its crew were numerous actors who already have reached the stardom - Heidi Kabel,Josef Meinrad. Lotte Ledl, Lukas Resetarits.or Klausjürgen Wussow. Not a small role in series' success was due to the great title music by famous composer Ralph Siegel, as well as the great cinematography. Although it has that typical 1980s "Kodacolor" flaire, well worth watching!
