You're joking, right? Surely the last episode can't be the last we see of Jessica Biel as Mary as a series regular?! It was so sudden, it was so nondescript, it was so unbefitting of one of the best characters/actors on the show.
But so it seems she's gone, and we're left with the other characters, trying to keep this show going as it really enters properly into phase 2 (the S7-11 years).
It is a decent episode actually (you sense Creator Brenda Hampton is writing more lately to steady the ship) with Simon's story being very engaging, and a hark back to the early years of the family actually helping the community.
I'm not a huge fan of this latest version of Lucy, but did feel for her here.
As ever Ruthie is the best character.
