How do you pin a medal on a dog?
pensman15 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Night falls and a courier comes to the fort with a message. Boone is sent to get Rusty. He, Major Swanson, Rip, and a company are heading to the old mission for a secret meeting with Lt. Sharp of Army intelligence. Rip, Rusty, and Rin Tin Tin are asked to volunteer for a dangerous undercover mission helping to pose as a decoy ambassador and his family.

At the Mexican border, they are handed off to Mexican troops who are actually the enemy. In a brief skirmish, Rin Tin Tin is shot and left for dead. And now Rip finds out the woman posing as his wife is actually the sister of Don Cortez, the renegade Mexican comandante they are hoping to fool.

Rin Tin Tin recovers and is on the trail following Rip. It turns out Don Cortez is also a prisoner of Miguel Sanchez who has appropriated his name and reputation. Sanchez has learned Rip is a phony as the real ambassador has arrived in Mexico City. Now he plans to kill everyone and blame their deaths on Don Cortez. He, Sanchez, will be a national hero, after he kills the notorious Don Cortez. But Rin Tin Tin arrives and frees Rip who leads Sanchez and his troops away from where they have been held, thus allowing the others to get on a stagecoach and head for the border. The coach overturns, but Rip and Don Cortez have reached loyal followers and they are there for a rescue and shootout. Rip with the help of Rin Tin Tin capture Sanchez which causes his men to run away. Rusty's first mission as an undercover agent for the President of the United States was a success. And Lt. Masters, Rusty, and Rin Tin Tin all receive medals from the President of Mexico.

And this is why we all wanted to be cowboys in the American West.
