- TriviaIn the back of the Happy Daze bar in Down Below that Garibaldi went to hide, there is a neon sign for Zima, a carbonated alcoholic beverage. The set designers included it as a joke, reasoning it was one of the few products from the 20th century still available during the time frame the series was set, the mid-23rd century. Unfortunately the beverage was discontinued in 2008.
- GoofsThe explosion at the start of the episode is far back from the "front" of the station, plus with rotation, anything coming out would be flung outward, in addition to the force of the explosion itself. There is no way that anything - including a person - blown out from there would be visible from the Command Deck.

Major Lianna Kemmer: I demand you open a channel to Earth at once.
Susan Ivanova: I'm a Lieutenant Commander in Earth Force, Major. I don't take demands. If you will request, I will consider it.
Major Lianna Kemmer: Very well, then. I request that you open a channel to Earthdome.
Susan Ivanova: Request denied. Have a nice day.

Garibaldi: The Fugitive
Following an explosion, shortly before a visit from the Earth President, the head of the presidential security detail tries to take over the investigation. Garibaldi, who used to know her objects, but when evidence emerges pointing to Garibaldi's involvement he suddenly finds himself a fugitive with few friends to turn to and plenty of enemies keen to settle old scores.
This was an enjoyable episode for many reasons. There is the mystery of who really caused the explosion and why... I'm sure nobody really thought it was Garibaldi. There is the question of how Garibaldi will final prove his innocence. And there is plenty of back story explaining why Garibaldi is the man he is. We get some decent action scenes; mostly fights involving Garibaldi. Jerry Doyle does a fine job as he takes centre stage as Garibaldi; he makes the character believable as things get progressively worse for him. Guest star Elaine Thomas also impresses as Major Lianna Kemmer, a character who once looked up to Garibaldi but now blames him for the death of her father seventeen years previously. The final resolution isn't too obvious and ultimately turns out to be connected to previously mentioned events thus elevating this from being a standalone episode. Overall a pretty good episode.
