On a dare Nick Barkley the toughest man in Stockton steps into a ring with prize
fighter Larry Pennell and lands a lucky punch and knocks him cold.
Lucky for Pennell the blow didn't kill him. The doctor discovers a blood clot that could travel to either his head or heart and finish him for good.
That news is most disconcerting to Pennell's wife Sandra Smith and son Ted Eccles. They want Pennell to retire, but Pennell says he needs one more big pay day and he has one coming up with Hal Baylor.
Both Peter Breck and Barbara Stanwyck take the usual Barkley paternal interest in he fighter and hs family. Pennell does well in the role and this episode has some great moments for Peter Breck.
