It is the end of the lone for Black Saddle. In Laredo Marshal Scott has a man in the cells and wants to know the whereabouts of the notorious Castleberry brothers.
Clay Culhane escorts Nora to the rough ramshackle town of Chloride where she has invested money in a mine. She is accosted by the locals as soon as she arrives including one of the Castlebury brothers.
The local miners led by Pat Cudahy (Archie Duncan) are involved in a feud with the Castleberrys over being cheated in the local saloon. Pat agrees to a gunfight with one of them, Clay knows it means certain death for Pat. He has never drawn before.
Luckily Marshal Scott arrives in town to help out Clay take on the Castleberrys. While an old lawman friend of Clay, now a manager for the mine company tries to get his nerve back.
The series concludes with a big shootout, almost cinematic as Scott and Clay Culhane finds that the odds are against them.
