Unlike most episodes, much of the focus in "Plaza Sweet" is on Nathaniel instead of his older brother, Alan. In this case, Nathaniel is ill and problems develop when mom and her mother, Sophie, bump heads about taking care of the boy. Sophie wants to be in charge and doesn't respect that her daughter is the boy's mother and hard feelings abound. The other plot, albeit a very small one, involves dopey old Benny waiting outside an apartment building because he heard rumors that some of the Brooklyn Dodgers live there...and he hopes to catch a glimpse of them.
Like all the episodes of the series, this one is very good due to excellent writing, great characters and fine acting. My only quibble is that if you watch, you'll realize that by the end Sophie really didn't learn anything!
