Catweazle is stuck in the present day and he has used his sorcery on the boy Carrot. He cannot tell anyone about Catweazle even if he wanted to.
Catweazle though is still in awe of this new world and its contraptions such as cars.
His stench though threatens to give his presence away. So Carrot gives him a bath, when the housekeeper stumbles into Catweazle he uses his magic on her to make her forget she ever saw him.
In this episode it is left to the farm hand Sam to go looking for Catweazle.
Again it is Geoffrey Bayldon who makes this work. The episode has more knockaround comedy as no one believes Sam and they think he has been on the cider. Now Catweazle has a home, an abandoned water tower he calls Castle Saburac. It means Carrot does not always have to keep him away from Sam and his dad in the farmhouse.
