This episode is pretty much like other episodes in this series. Typical plot and action you would expect. The big stand out here is to see Vivian Vance (Ethel Mertz from I Love Lucy), play against character as a villainous rancher/mother. She and her son plot to blame cattle rustling on the other ranchers that live nearby thus trying to take over the territory. Her son wants none of it however but a few slaps in the face and she keeps him in line. When she claims she saw a neighbor rustling her cattle, he goes to jail for it. She promises not to press charges if he moves away and sells her his ranch. However the best laid plans often go astray...She plays the part well, but that voice in etched upon our minds. Ethel May Potter, we never forgot her.
