It's as obvious as the red board in her hand that there are no cards on it. This is her gift for Anthony for his college graduation, and when Suzanne tries to copy the board, she shoots him in the leg, thinking he's a burglar. Anthony's concern about not only his speech for commencement but for raising enough money for a black history reading room at the university and the arrival of his relatives, especially about his sweet grandmother Frances E. Williams who raised him.
While grandmother Bouvier would return later (played by Beah Richards who had just been on as the memorable Minnie Belle Ward), I would have loved to see the beautiful Ms. Williams recurring in this part. Olivia Brown makes her last appearance as Vanessa, another character I wish would have stayed on. A good episode that further cements the bond between Anthony and Suzanne.
