I expected something quite different from this TV episode directed by the great Joseph H Lewis. A story about the fight a government agent - Robert Loggia - makes against gangsters. And what a bunch: Ray Danton, Ed Begley, Anthony Caruso. What a batch of baddies in this powerful story which I would have rather seen on the big screen instead a TV set for home audiences. It is shown through an expose scheme, with sometimes an off voice to present the facts. One more time Joseph H Lewis pulls here a brilliant job, as good as he gave us in features such as GUN CRAZY, BIG COMBO or UNDERCOVER MAN. He did not lose his touch for this TV episode, and the characters did not suffer of a bad casting either. But I admit that the story has nothing special to offer, besides this outstanding quality. The topic is quite predictable, although a good climax.
