You can only assume the folks who made this episode thought it was a disappointing one. After all, it was made to be shown in season three...but was instead shown a season later....and midway through the season at that. Is it that bad?
A magazine wants to send a reporter to watch Rob and his other writers at work. However, Rob is dead set against it and assumes the presence of a reporter will affect the way he, Buddy and Sally work together. Later, he changes his mind after Laura tells him he's wrong...but even later he realizes he was right in the first place...as they all act like jerks in one way or another in front of the reporter.
This is a 'cringe' episode...one that is a bit embarrassing to watch. I don't mind cringe humor...but it might be off-putting to some and it's not fun to see the friends act so unfriendly towards each other. It certainly does NOT portray Rob, Buddy and Sally well...particularly Rob and Buddy. Worth seeing but not among their best episodes because they behaved so badly. Fortunately, it DID end well...otherwise my score would have been a bit lower.
