Heather Locklear at her gorgeous best! Warning: Spoilers
(spoiler bit only towards the end)

You could just know that towards the end of November 1986, there were teen-aged girls by the score marching to hair salons clutching pictures of Heather Locklear, plonking them down, "I want my hair styled like that!" I suppose plastic surgeons would have heard requests to look like that as well. Gee, I'm a guy, but I would have wanted to look like that as well. :) Be kind to your mirror, look like Heather, and make its day.

In this episode, Heather Locklear as darling as can be. For anybody that doesn't know, Heather was (is?) generally rumored to be a darling person, she played bad girls, she's too nice to be anything remotely like that in real life = she not only looks like an angel, she is an angel.

In the scene with Krystle (Linda Evans) at the restaurant, Heather, wearing that blue dress, wow, what can a poor old guy say? I had a major crush on her back then, not that I ever saw her in DYNASTY then, I only knew her from T.J. HOOKER and magazine articles and minor TV appearance in that short-lived sitcom thingie GOING PLACES. Had I seen her in this episode back then I suppose I'd have cried myself to sleep. I will do that tonight. I'm not kidding. :) but with a wistful longing.

As for the story, told myself beforehand, if Kate O'Mara appears in the opening credits, then Caress will be rescued. So, the game was immediately given away. Ah, good thing they didn't linger on the rescue bit, the producers obviously had very limited resources.

Ooh, ol' Blake stands there in his inherited paradise, and thinks about Mommy leaving that Eden to him. Look at the ridges and trees. Mind you, he's gonna mine there. For earth gas. Exit Eden. Place will look like Hades.

Alexis the media mogul and oil tycoon, she sure has her plate full. Sarcasm there!

Ben is a badly scripted character, inconsistent. One episode he realizes his faults, the next (as in here) he is just as arrogant as ever. What a swine, hate that guy!

All in all, episode is a vast improvement on what has gone before (in recent episodes) but the loss of the real Amanda Carrington remains a drawback. Karen Cellini, quit it, go home. Face it, it's not the part for you. Just the way it is.

***spoiler bit***

Leann Huntley, The Raven approves! While placing a quote today (yeah, check them out here!) saw Dana is destined to be a Mrs. Carrington. Adam's, I suppose. Leann, you are the only other young actress here worth watching.
