Far too many of you point out how vicious Raymond is toward his brother, Robert, in this episode. What you need to remember is how awkward, and likely horrified he was to see his brother in this situation. Many would cry, or become too tense. However, Humor was Raymond's immediate coping mechanism. It made for some absolutely hilarious moments, yes, but eventually we see Ray break down and finally take care of Robert like a true brother would.
This episode is a masterpiece. Not only the best episode of ELR I've seen (and there are many), but one of the best pieces of writing I've seen on television in general.
