Boobs, lots of nice boobs, and stories.
mikeholmes-480122 January 2016
Warning: Spoilers
i was like , fresh off watching this great hockey game where the hero Devils beat the bad guys best in NHL Dallas, and another fantasy island that i reviews so my attention span was droopy. Might i mention beer was involved. Anyhow, this was a pretty good episode with a nice theme throughout . if you are a feminist, you might not like this one as much as i did.

So first story was the actor that looks like a brown haired Matlock but is not Matlock wants to go fishing by himself. Spent a lot of money for fantasy island to do so, maybe he wished for something else and i missed it, either way it seems stupid. so he goes to his lagoon and sees a hot chic with great boobs looking at him and he chases after her, but angry like. she runs to a trader shop and that pisses him off he isn't out in the alone like he wanted . (Fantasy island is tight quarters, he should have went fishing in Alaska, Montana . etc)+ . so he goes to trader shop and meets the old guy, who i assume is the hot chicks dad. then he sees her and gets mad and leaves. the dad is like "did you see his eyes, thats the look of a guy who wants to be alone" and then i was expecting the hot chic to be like "thats a guy that looks like Matlock" but she didn't. So these three prisoners , one shot up bad, show up, take them hostage, and matlock has to save them by not being a loner jerk that just wants to fish. The daughter finds herself always being almost raped by the one prisoner whose turned on by her lack of clothing. but i didn't say that. There was a thing in this part about him hearing a song, the mermaid song that pops up on this show. i didn't get the point of that.

Other story was kinda dumb too. According to the description , the lady with the nice boobs wants to be Lillian Russell. I missed and had to rewind a lot of this story by looking up who she was . She is a real person, a late 1800's opera star who was the thing back then, but dead now. think about that. any who, i was not able to find out anything about her having two rich guys who loved her that she equally loved and was willing to put it to a card game to prove there love along with some diamonds. Its complex, i don't feel like getting into it and those guys should have risked their fortune for those boobs. it was another one of those episodes where your like "how 'd all the other people in her life, or vaguely get on fantasy island?) anyhow it was an okay episode but I'm ready to fall over from mass Bud lite consumption. I fear my enjoyment in this episode is as i wrote in the title. i think, based on rushed , pre post review, that 2 of the 4 nice boobs are currently deceased. the end.

A better than average season 5 episode
VetteRanger30 October 2022
As the years went by, it got more and more difficult for Fantasy Island writers to come up with original concepts that weren't flat out corny, and as we rewatch the series (one show every Sunday morning), I've mostly been disappointed with seasons 4 and 5.

This was one of the better episodes. Each story had a great looking actress, but that's not unusual.

"Lillian Russell" depicted a famous love triangle, and had the advantage of including one of my favorite actors, Gene Barry. As is sometimes the case, both male leads were quite a bit older than Phyllis Davis, which makes it somewhat unbelievable even in a fantasy that may involve time travel.

Claude Akins led "The Lagoon" with a silly idea about a singing fish, and again the female lead, Pamela Shoop, was a LOT younger. While you may not recognize her name, she guest starred on dozens of TV series throughout her career. Claude played a wrongfully-convicted ex-con who had to face off against three violent prison escapees at a remote trading post.

If you're a Fantasy Island fan, this is a later season episode you'll want to see.
