Kevin Malone, an Irish Nationalist is caught with his hands quite literally on a wire, one connected to a mine. Kevin is arrested, but claims he was trying to stop a devastating explosion.
Definitely not a subject I thought I'd see The Four Just Men dealing with, very political, but would have been very topical at the time, one of the more serious storylines, it's almost as if a whole new writing team were brought in for this one episode.
Barry Keegan and Shay Gorman both performed very well, Jack Hawkins excellent as always.
The music is really irritating, it feels out of place in what otherwise is a very well made episode, it has an authenticity which you wouldn't really expect here.
It's a strong episode.
7/10.
