Great episode
twanster-9765513 October 2019
I always enjoyed the episode's that focused on Martin. As the show ran its course, one thing got very tiring, that was frasiers constant womanising. New love interests that would only fail after they'd slept together... But the supporting cast roles grew better as the show went on. This episode is about martin being stubborn when it comes to mending old bridges with an old pal. Would liked to of seen more of Martin and his old pals drive frasier crazy but this one is touching and gives us another insight into Martins former life.

A dud episode of a great show
studioAT7 July 2017
Although there's no doubting the overall quality of 'Frasier' as a show, and the fact it's quite rightly regarded as being one of the smartest ever, but that doesn't mean to say it wasn't capable of producing dud episodes, and this one is a fine example.

Slow in terms of plotting, laboured in terms of humour. Yet again it all goes a bit syrupy in the final few minutes in a search for some sentiment to hold it all together.

It's nice to see John Mahoney being given more to do, but the writers were at this stage I feel still working out what worked and what didn't. Sadly there's not a lot here that does.

A dud episode sadly.

Not Much New Here
Hitchcoc29 September 2019
This episode evolves around Martin's little feud with a former partner. That guy is now in the hospital with serious complications. Years previously, the two of them had gotten into it over some trivial teasing and it had escalated. Now, even with Artie, the friend, in the hospital, Martin has nothing to do with him. The whole thing is predictable and not particularly funny.
