Brother from Another School.

Warning: Spoilers
Tim and Al are building a man's bed, and as usual, Al shows the right way and Tim shows the wrong way, so at least their efforts were not entirely counterproductive. But why stop there? The bedroom is more often than not designed and decorated by a woman, so now it's time to unveil a Man's Bedroom! At home, Jill shows Mark some embarrassing school shirts she bought for him, while Brad delivers some big news: he got an A in English. His second one in a row. As for Randy, he's received his first bout with detention. Tim and Jill were requested by his teacher to come down and meet him, and let me say, having Tim in a biology classroom is like having a bull in a china shop. No bones about it...or plastic organs. Anyway, the teacher tells them Randy is an overachiever. He finishes his work first and starts distracting the other students. His solution is to send Randy and other bright students to take some classes at the high school. They spring that on Randy at home, that he was going to be a temporary early freshman. He jumped right at the opportunity, and Brad seemed to be okay with it too because they'll make sure Randy isn't in any of his classes. However, things may not be sitting as well with him as he's letting on.

Time for the Man's Bedroom! Remember the Man's Kitchen and Man's Bathroom? This is the bedroom. It's got it all. Everything a guy looks for in his sleeping quarters. Astroturf floor, an accessible bar, run by one-note Milton, there's a grill by the bed, as well as a VR simulator so you can pretend you're car racing while the wife is nagging. There's a closet that sorts out your clothes for every possibly situation, and last but not least, what to do about that unmade bed? A bed that makes itself? Naw, that would be silly. A pool table that pulls out over the bed so you can forget about the mess and shoot some billiards. Anyway, while Randy is doing better in school, Brad's grades have started slipping. Tim thinks it has to do with other kids distracting him asking about the Man's Bedroom, while Jill takes a far more logical approach and assumes it's because of Randy taking high school classes. Turns out Jill was right. They sit Brad down and have a little powwow. They remind Brad that his outstanding quality was that he NEVER gave up, and that he was always independent. They encourage him not to worry about Randy's success, but to keep doing what he's doing, and be the best darn Brad he can be. So while Brad may start to improve again, Randy is now getting detention at both middle school AND high school. That's got to be a record. Apparently some kids kept pestering him about the Man's Bedroom. And if you believe that, I have some land I can sell you.

Oh yes, The Man's Bedroom. I remember seeing this episode the night it aired, and I was also familiar with the Man's Kitchen and Bathroom from those past episodes (Fifth Anniversary and Frozen Moments, respectively. Both in Season 3), so the Bedroom was a welcome addition. As for the rest of this episode...not much to say. I can't really relate to Brad and Randy because I'm an only child and never had to endure having a younger sibling get moved up to my grade, nor did I get to take high school classes while in middle school. The message is there, though: don't worry about what the other guy is doing, just focus on you! Look out for Number 1. So if you want to see the unveiling of the Man's Bedroom and see how, or rather HEAR how Brad and Randy co-exist in high school, check out The Man's Bedroom...I mean, High School Confidential.
