In this story Michael Beck plays a real nasty piece of work of a landlord. Karen Carlson and her daughter Juliet Sorci have been living in one of his houses and
Carlson has been trading sex for rent. She's tired of it and Beck wants to throw
her out. Denise Nicholas is helping Carlson at Housing Court.
Beck also assaulted someone else outside Sparta City limits and the sheriff's office is investigating that incident. This provides a kind of rapprochement between Carroll O'Connor and the sheriff.
A lot of comic relief in this story comes as it usually does from David Hart. The Sparta, PD acquired a new radar gun and Parker is now a man on a mission to rack up enough traffic tickets with his new toy.
The comic and serious are both resolved in the end.
