There is raid on a safe of a small diamond merchant in Amsterdam. Sash Moran's fingerprints are found on a lightbulb.
Moran could not be thief. He is still in prison.
This is a puzzle for Inspector Duval. He sets off to Amsterdam. Soon so does Moran after he has been released from jail.
Moran wants to find the person who is framing him. Duval thinks that a clever plan is at play and Moran is in on it.
