Bean counter causes trouble, loot on the premises
bkoganbing23 February 2018
A pair of B picture cowboy heroes Rod Cameron and Don Barry are in the cast of this Laramie story. Both did play bad guys at times in their careers with Barry being one here and Cameron coming close.

Barry tried to bribe Robert Fuller thinking he's still a man who sells his gun like in the old days. But Fuller refuses and then Barry wraps up an old wanted poster and throws it through the stagecoach line window.

Where it is picked up by Vinton Hayworth, a bean counter sent in from the east to cut expenses. He and Fuller already don't like each other and he goes to the sheriff demanding his arrest.

Of course the stagecoach is held up and a strong box taken full of loot. When Fuller does catch up the box is empty. Loot was buried on the premises of Rod Cameron and Peggy McKay's farm. They've been having a rough go and this found money could be an answer to a prayer. Or it could be the death of them.

Cameron and Barry are the players most known to the public, but Vinton Hayworth as the obnoxious, thick as a brick, bean counter really steals this one. We've all dealt with his type before, he wants to cut armed guards from the budget, says they cost too much money. You see where that ends up.
