Great Subject to Discuss

I am sure this debate is still discussed today. I agree with Edna girls and boys should never be pressured to go all the way not matter how much the other person spends on them.

Too late in the series for this story

At this point in the series, the girls are approaching 30 and have lots of dating experience under their belts. It's really unbelievable that they would be worrying about such a thing as being obligated to put out if their dates buy them a nice dinner.

By now they'd have their own personal dating ground rules firmly in place yet they both act like insecure young women navigating the dating waters for the first time. This plot would've worked back in the early Milwaukee days of the series when they were fresh out of high school but not now.

Laverne actually worries that their dates may not want to see them again if they don't give them what they want. For someone with all these years of dating experience, you'd think this was the first time she ever went on a date!

The Laverne & Shirley I know wouldn't care and say "See ya!" to the both of them and not give it a second thought. The whole plot was just weird and there were sadly no laughs either. A huge fall from the previous and excellent two part Bardwell Caper, but i'm holding out hope that there's at least a couple of good ones like that still to come in these final seasons.
