I consider this one an okay episode. I wouldn't mind rewatching but I also can skip. The parrot is the best part he clearly knows Laverne's past because he called her a bimbo. The mansion is beautiful.

When I saw the title of this one I expected a hilarious episode, but it was surprisingly boring. Laverne & Shirley house sitting for a beachfront Malibu mansion seems made for slapstick comedy, but it never comes. When the owner shows the girls a retractable roof over the living room, you just know disaster is soon to follow with that---but it doesn't! Not even when it starts pouring rain outside no one accidentally presses the retractable roof button to let it rain inside the living room. So what was the point of showing it if you're not going to utilize it?! Such a missed opportunity there.

The worst that happens is that it rains and everyone from the beach comes inside, even setting up a volleyball net in the living room, but instead of seeing the home get trashed, it quickly cuts to the next scene where the room is spotless again after the girls cleaned up. It basically jumped over all the hilarity that ensued! Why?!

There's also a talking bird that's crammed into a cage that's much too small for it and the poor thing was clearly uncomfortable in there. Yes, I don't like watching live animals being used for television comedy and whenever it's shown it's a distraction for me because i'm feeling sorry for the poor animal.

There's not much else to review because there was really no story and it seems like it was a filler episode or perhaps the girls were too tired to do all the slapstick comedy that this setup warranted. At least we find out why the girls hate Rhonda...Laverne doesn't want to invite her to the party because she looks good in a bathing suit. So they do hate her just because she's pretty. How shallow.
