This short-lived but very amusing series continues with this very amusing episode.

A mother and son show up in town with a proposal that the son play "Legend's" own son. Obviously Pratt rejects the idea, but soon a representative from his publisher shows up to confirm it's the publisher's own idea! Legend must write the kid into his next dime novel.

When Pratt asks how the virtuous Legend winds up with an unexplained son all of a sudden, the representative takes a puzzled beat and replies, "Writer's problem".

In the meantime, Pratt and Bartok are trying to catch some rustlers, and having sort of a hit and miss level of success while the kid continues to annoy Pratt and Pratt continues to ridge at the idea of writing him into a book.

My favorite exchange of dialogue is when the kid complains to the rep that Pratt has written a scene where wild Indians capture the boy and bury him up to his neck in a red ant hill.

The rep says, "That sounds like quite a problem. How do you get out of it?"

"I DON'T!"

LOL.
