Tonto gets karate chop...
boofool3 August 2021
The Ranger joins gang to catch them red handed. Funniest part is towards the end when Tonto gets karate chopped by the villain boss. And all while in the Wild Wild West.

Undercover Ranger
hogwrassler7 August 2021
The Ranger and Tonto arrive to help their friend, Sheriff Jim Hawks. The Dirk Nelson gang has been terrorizing the countryside and now has kidnapped Jim's fiancé, Nancy Barton. Nancy left behind a note saying that she is going to marry Dirk! The Ranger goes undercover, posing as an outlaw more wanted than Dirk Nelson, The Masked Rider. A few phony wanted posters convinces Dirk that the Masked Rider is real. The Rider joins Nelson's gang and now they must set a trap so that the entire gang can be captured. There is also a special reason why Nancy agreed to marry this violent outlaw, which the good guys soon figure out. It's a dangerous game The Ranger is playing! The climax involves a fistfight and one of the few times The Ranger loses his white hat during a scuffle. Nan Leslie makes the first of her eight appearances on the series. An outstanding season 1 episode.

If you can't beat them, join them!

What does one do when the bad guys have the damsel in distress and you have to rescue her? join the gang, of course.

I didn't really understand how this one was pulled off. I was under the impression that the Lone Ranger was pretty well known, so what made him think that the bad guys wouldn't have known he was the Lone Ranger? Perhaps it's because he wasn't described...

If you like your Westerns with lots of action in them, this is a good episode for you! The Lone Ranger acts like a bad guy for awhile, and I couldn't help but wonder how he was going to pull the whole thing off. As usual, he does it by fighting his way out.
