In this episode T. C. wears a red shirt that has Black National Swimming & Diving Championship 1986.

In some ways this demonstrates the heightened awareness of promoting the rights of minorities, so well done to Magnum, P. I.. I like it a lot.

Famous British entertainer Bruce Forsyth appears as a presenter on a game show where Rick wins one million dollars, yes you hear it right, one million bucks, one million smackaroos!

The final scene was quite touching, kind of resembling Casablanca, so yes, two Ricks! The Humphrey Bogart one and the Larry Manetti one! I'm enjoying watching Magnum for the first time.

Warning: Spoilers
I swear, I almost fell of my exercise bike (I'm really trying, doctor!) when Bruce Forsyth popped up. Bruce Forsyth on Magnum! Obviously, most people watching this episode won't have a clue who he is, but in Britain he's an absolute legend, probably the biggest TV light entertainment host we've ever had. From the beginning of the 70s almost right up until his death in 2017 he was a permanent fixture on our screens. The guy even had a Miss World for a wife! (Not that I attach any importance at all to such superficial things...)

As for the episode itself, I really enjoyed Magnum and TC's repeated trips to the slammer, as well as their "lawyer" prison pal. But I'm pretty tired of the hackneyed old storyline of a character suddenly coming into lots of money, when you know they're only going to have lost it all by the end of the episode.

I did love the way the secretary adjusted her shoulder pads as she was preparing to get Magnum and TC thrown out of the office. Like a gladiator in Ancient Rome tightening his protective gear. Or a modern-day brawler cracking his knuckles. Getting ready for the fight. I guess this was the 80s female power suit equivalent.

I did feel, however, that having Rick bind and gag a terrified innocent woman in order to get to her boss was a bit beyond the pale. It was supposed to be funny but it just came across as quite nasty. Which, on the whole, pretty much sums up my feelings towards Rick.
