Actually not Malcolm, but it's Reese and then Lois rescuing Reese. One interesting scene was where Reese was "married" on his way back home, and you see stereotypes galore and so on from the Arab world. It's hard to believe that Bryan Cranston would go on to shed his comedic image to become Mr Walter White, one of the modern anti-heroes to hit our TV screens. Bryan is the man!

Back with a bang

If anything I think this show bucked the trend of diminishing returns as the kids in a family orientated sitcom grow up and got better as it went along. This episode is a fine example of this.
Although still a key part, the character of Malcolm has now had the focus moved off of him slightly (he always was a straight man to the other far funnier characters) and we get to explore others like Reese.
This is a fun episode, full of fun and sharp lines. It's surreal in places too, which I love, and it marks the start to a good series 6.
Well done to all involved, this was fab.
