HOW SAMMO GOT HIS GROOVE BACK is a blaxploitation-themed episode of MARTIAL LAW that feels unlike any episode that came before. That's because the emphasis now is on over the top comedy throughout, with a few fights thrown in en route. I wasn't really sure what to expect, as the main supporting characters are all sidelined here and the resulting concoction really isn't too funny. Arsenio Hall appears in the show for the first time and goes way over the top, so I hope he tones things down a bit for his future appearances. Sammo remains on good form.
