Good To See How Big The IM Force Is
aramis-112-80488019 September 2022
Not since "The Killer" in Season five do we have such a view of the IM force's scope. It's no wonder they can set things up so quickly, with so many Santa's Little Helpers behind the scenes.

Jim and company have to literally find out where the body is buried to nail an aging mobster (guest star William Shatner). To do that they try to turn back the clock and made a mobster in his sixties look and feel thirty again, and persuade him to believe the intervening thirty years were just a dream.

A tall order? Not for Phelps and his team. Having just entered my own sixties, i could usr some of that stuff, myself.

Unfortunately, Shatner spends a little too much time looking dazed. But who wouldn't be?

Oh, this is a last hoo-rah for Doug. I like Sam Elliott (he's an actor who's aged well) but Doug was never very interesting. Who wouldn't rather see a seasoned Elliott in "The Big Lebowski"? But the sad thing is, they finally have something for Doug to do that utilizes his skill as a doctor as he's on his way out the door.

Stretched but still great...

Warning: Spoilers
What a coincidence! I read today is William Shatner's birthday! And I came across him in Encore, one of my ,,best of,, episode list - I intend to watch all of them of course one day- Moreover I read he has participated in one more episode. And by luck I hit on one episode on IMDb and I found it.... Too weird.... This episode has very good elements although it is once again too stretched in plot. The success of the mission leans on coincidence and the ,,bad guy's'' choices. I don't think I would trust an unknown barber to shave me with a straight razor especially if I was un renowned gangster, for instance..... There could be several mistakes in their depiction of the thirties couldn't have predicted everything. The episode could have ended with the gangsters confession about the bombing of the witness...... And how come they hadn't search for the corpse in the wall back then? And how did Krol had rebuilt the wall ........ Anyway, the series is amazing. Just find an motivation to write in English........

So so episode with William Shatner

Warning: Spoilers
In this episode, the IMF team use the back lot of a studio to trick a gangster, played by William Shatner, to reveal the location of someone he had killed.

It was actually fairly simplistic plot with convincing Shatner he was back in time and would recreate the crime and therefore recreate the event. Both Shatner and the other character were aged to show present time and then shown without aging to show the past.

The real flaw in this whole scenario is that they have Shatner moving around early US city (a back lot of a studio they used) but as we know back lot is just fronts but they have us believe they are interiors on the back lot too.

Too bad Leonard Nimoy was not in this season but I never felt he was that suited for the role.
