Are Ben and Susan being bad parents to Michael? That's the question posed in this episode (Exec Produced interestingly by James Hendrie and Ian Brown rather than Fred Baron) that sees them then packed off to a parenting class.
All of this plot is well played out, with Robert Lindsay and Zoe Wanamaker on good form. It was nice to see Gabriel Thompson being given more to do too.
This episode does however offer signs of things to come, with a whole B plot dedicated to Abi/Roger, and it's unfunny to say the least. In my opinion these characters worked better in small doses, and increasing their screen time doesn't help.
A decent episode overall.
