A lovely young heiress is troubled when her "brother" comes back from being presumed dead to scoop up all her inheritance. Brett and Daniel think it's not a case for them, until someone tries to kill her. Then they feel obliged to rush to her aid.

This is a particularly enjoyable episode, all the more so because of a neat trick ending that I certainly didn't see coming. It's one of those shifts that in a stroke puts everything that was confusing in its proper perspective.

Definitely one of the better-written episodes yet it maintains the supersive humor we've come to expect One of their best.

Warning: Spoilers
Jenny Lindley (Sinead Cusack) is a young woman who looked forward to inherit the family fortune.

Only to lose it all to her brother Mark who was long thought to be dead. A late change in the will means Mark gets everything and Jenny is going to be thrown out of the mansion, even after contesting the will and her brother's identity.

Judge Fulton wants Danny and Brett to investigate, Mark Lindley is acting suspicious. He has hired a private investigator Peter Hayward (Garfield Morgan) to keep tabs on Danny and Brett.

Although both men were reluctant to take up the task. When someone takes aim at Jenny, they are determined to expose her 'brother.'

The story is more grounded for being set in Britain, although it is an upper crust one. There is a lot of casual sexism, such as the burlesque music that is played each time Brett's nubile housekeeper walks by.

This kind of story is bound to have a twist. It is Jenny that is the impostor and she planned to kill Mark all along. It all very much came out of the blue. I only expected it as it is very much a trope for this sort of story.

Garfield Morgan looks odd with his bad wig. What will Regan and Carter say!
