Total teen drama at it's best. There's a sadie Hawkins type dance where the girls have to ask the guys out on dates for the dance. Keely's friend Via gets Keely to ask Phil to go to the dance with her and it's awesome because they are both so excited that they are going together. But then out of nowhere Phil's dad finally fixes the time machine for real, so Phil has to tell Keely that he can't go to the dance with her because he has to leave for the future.
So Keely has to tell Phil that since he told her that he was leaving she already asked someone else to go to the dance with her, leaving Phil to go with another girl.
