A former soldier seeks revenge
pkfloydmh23 October 2021
This one is about a former soldier who seeks revenge on Danko, who he believes left him behind in Vietnam instead of rescuing him when he had the chance.

This episode is very similar to the previous one (Eye for an Eye) as it once again involves a hostage crisis and once again the villain goes through an outlandish scheme to punish the person he believes wronged him, and just like the last episode, you KNOW Danko isn't going to be killed because without him there wouldn't be a show, so once again there's absolutely no suspense.

Obviously the show is running out of steam at this point as the fact that this is the second straight hostage crisis after the show has done an endless number of them already says that the writers have completely run out of ideas and have gone back to the hostage crisis well once again, which is just overkill on a grand scale. There have been so many hostage crises I've lost count and the idea that the show would add two more and do them back to back is incomprehensible and inexplicable. The story line about a former soldier seeking revenge on his colleagues for some event that happened in combat has also been seen many times before on other TV shows so there's nothing original or interesting here.

Thom Christopher is not convincing as a villain and in fact is just plain annoying, and the idea that he would build a wooden hut in the middle of a warehouse and force Danko into it to embarrass him is absolutely absurd. The show has stooped to a new low here and it's no wonder there are only five episodes left before it went off the air.

Bruce Fairbairn's acting is very shaky once again as he's very wooden and looks like he's just reading his lines from a cue card and shows no emotion whatsoever. His hair looks horrific too. He should have never changed it from straight to curly.

There's a great fight scene at the end that is definitely worth seeing, but beyond that everything else is garbage.
