Adapted from an original Leslie Charteris by Terry Nation.
The Saint tells the camera in an ironic tone as to why the sport of boxing is called the noble art.
He goes to watch a boxing match featuring The Angel (Nosher Powell). It is an eliminator contest as the winner will fight Steve Nelson, a boxer rising through the ranks.
Only Steve's girlfriend is suspicious of something murkey going on and approached the Saint. On the night the Saint sees nothing too suspicious but the Angel wins the fight as his opponent suddenly loses concentration. He later dies.
The Saint is now sure that the Angel's manager is crooked and is somehow fixing fights. The trouble is getting the proof.
This should had been an exciting and a dark story. However the death of a man in the ring is kind of brushed off, when the boxing authorities and the media would be all over the story.
It does get silly when Simon Templar steps into the training ring to take on the Angel.
