Once again we have the fifties woman portrayed as the empty headed, out of control, I Love Lucy, prototype. An engineer finds a balloon in the desert. It contains a canister with two white mice in it. There is a note to report the finding to a research facility. Of course, the guy leaves the thing with his wife, telling her not to touch it. You guessed it. She can't wait five minutes to mess things up, releasing a gas into the trailer where they are stationed. She actually uses the phrase, "If you want a woman to do something, don't tell her not to." Later in the episode, one of the other guys understands why she did it. He says, "I understand. I'm married too." Back to the plot. It turns out that the two mice have ingested some bacterial thing that eventually turned them into a smudge of plant life in the bottom of the container. Ah, but guess who else is turning into a plant. Our heroine. She is continually running into the sun to assist photosynthesis.
