The idea is simple. What if we had the ability to transfer the knowledge of a genius to another person, allowing that person to continue the work of the genius. That's what happens here. John Emerson wakes up from a coma and begins to go places and know things he didn't know existed. His IQ has also gone up 50 points. He visits the home of the late doctor who treated him and knows where the door key is and how to turn on the machinery this man has used. There is no suspense in this episode, just an interesting premise. These episodes last about twenty minutes, so the ability to develop character is pretty much taken away.
