A very personal case for Sam.
Sleepin_Dragon16 July 2018
When Sam, Leo and Harry are sent to Northern Ireland to deal with a case of two bodies discovered, Sam gets more then she expected when her son crashes back into her life.

In 2004, the peace process was still very new, so this episode had a strong political tone, tensions still running very high. The story is intelligent, and one you very much see through Sam's eyes.

Burton was so strong in the role, so huge a character that she seemed to drown out the others, Harry and Leo seem just to be there to make up the numbers.

An emotional episode. It's not a classic, but it's certainly engaging. 8/10

It's in the Past

Same and the others end up in Northern Ireland where her father, the cop, was assassinated. She runs across her son (of course we don't know at this point what happened concerning him). He is filled with hatred. Sam investigates a politician who was at the center of this kind of activity. But the episode has a stark, intense ending which pushes the series in another direction.
