Full of Action and a Surprising Twist
claudio_carvalho1 September 2016
The SG-1 arrives on planet Juna and are attacked by the natives and a Jaffa. Jack escapes but Sam, Daniel and Teal'c are captured. The native Darin recognizes the group and they are brought to Sindar in a pyramid. Sindar summons Cronus and the SG-1 are imprisoned in a cell. Meanwhile Darin stumbles upon Jack in his house and he tells what happened to Juno after the SG-1 defeats Heru'ur and Cronus arrival to slave them. Cronus arrives and asks Darin to execute Daniel. When he fires his Staff weapon, they realize that Daniel is an android. Meanwhile Harlan ("Tin Man") arrives at the SGC asking for help to save his androids since the Goa'uld may get information from their memories. What will General Hammond decide?

"Double Jeopardy" is a full of action episode with a surprising plot point when the viewer discloses that Daniel is an android. Fortunately the annoying Harlan has a minor participation. My vote is eight.

Warning: Spoilers
The annoying android is back. Harlan from "Tin Man" in season one and his alternate SG-1 resurface.

SG-1 arrives on the planet Juna, and immediately comes under attack from a group of Jaffa and local Juna warriors. One of the local leaders, a young man named Darian, recognizes them. He knows all their names, and tells the Jaffa that these are the ones who led them in a rebellion against Heru-ur, banishing the Goa'uld's servants from their world.

The team is led into a large pyramid as a Goa'uld Mother Ship enters orbit, and forced to their knees as the powerful System Lord Cronus transports to the surface. He recognizes them, of course, but reminds them that the Goa'uld-Asgard treaty protects the planet Earth -- but not SG teams who are found offworld. He will show them no mercy.

Short version: Daniel gets decapitated, and it turns out it's the android version. The Mech-Jack is still on the loose and when Harlan goes to Earth to ask for help in retrieving them, Hammond sends a MALP to Juna where Jack gets to talk to Jack. Hilarity ensues.

SG-1 go to Juna where one thing leads to another, and all the fake SG-1 get... de-activated with prejudice, Cronos is killed by Robo-Teal'c, and Juna is once again free... Oh and SG-1 get a Mother Ship. Woo-hoo!

I know I'm not the only one who has noticed that the length of carters hair changes just about every other episode, that being said, I definitely got duped in the best way. An interesting storyline and great twist, the effects really pulled this off.
