I want to correct the other persons review on here.

Warning: Spoilers
I just watched this episode and Louie's Brother Nick only had 2 pair (Aces over Jacks) the fifth card was a 3 of Spades, so Alex Rieger's 3 sixes did beat him as 3 of a kind beats 2 pair, I'm not sure why they bet the farm (several thousand dollars) on such mediocre hands except maybe both of them were compulsive gamblers, it would have made more sense if Nick had a Full House and Alex had 4 of a kind, also since the name of the episode was a Full House for Christmas it would have made sense if somebody had a full house, anyway I wanted to reply to the other users review but I don't know how to leave a reply on his review.

Confused by ending?

Warning: Spoilers
Pretty decent episode, has it's moments. Good angry Louie scenes but with an actual Mom-loving heart.

Anyway, is anyone else totally confused by ending??? Card gm results???

SPOILER ALERT...

It appears Alex loses gm because Nick has full house and Alex only has 3 of a kind, but he wins???? I'm kinda guessing there was a cut scene that maybe showed "3s and 7s are wild" or something like that to explain it. Otherwise, how did he win?

Louie bets his life saving on a poker game.

Warning: Spoilers
Currently I am re-watching all the old episodes of "Taxi" on DVD.

It is the Christmas season and Louie's younger brother was expected in town from Las Vegas. Mom had not seen her son for 6 years and was anxious to see him. Louie gets a cabbie to rush him over, before he can get too interested in a poker game Bobbie, Tony, and the others were playing. But his brother comes back real quick, having told mom 'hello' quickly but wanting to get to the poker game.

Louie is very upset, because he thinks his brother really should invite mom to his place in Vegas for a visit, going so far as to 'disown' him if he won't. And he doesn't.

Richard Foronjy is the brother, Nick, who is an expert and is cleaning up at the poker table. But now Louie is bent on revenge, he wants to 'break' Nick, and tells Alex he will bankroll him with the $3,000 he has been saving.

The game is tense, all the cabbies are there watching and cheering, but Alex keeps losing. Then, when Alex is about out of money, it is revealed that the money wasn't Louie's after all, it was the cab company's receipts.

SPOILERS: In the end Alex prevails and Nick is crushed.
