Peace and joy be with you.

Warning: Spoilers
Chrissy is going through an uncharacteristic period of depression. Then, she becomes easy prey for a "guru" named Rama Mageesh (veteran voice-over artist Michael Bell, "The Transformers: The Movie"). Jack immediately is suspicious of the guy, and his suspicions are confirmed when Mageesh openly admits to Jack that he's a scam artist. But Jack & Janet still have to worry about losing Chrissy to *this* guy, who's planning on creating a retreat in Big Sur.

'Chrissy and the Guru' is full of solid, hearty laughs, with Jack hilariously reacting to some standard "Chrissy-isms". The B plot with the Ropers involves Stanley furious about being potentially audited by the IRS. But the episode is at its best when focusing on Chrissy's dilemma. Everybody watching at home can tell that Mageesh is a creep; how soon will Chrissy wise up?

There are some very bright moments with Jack & Janet pretending to leave the apartment, then sneaking back in through the kitchen window, hoping to catch the guru doing something sleazy. Eventually, we get a nice wrap-up when the lovable Chrissy shows that she is not *that* naive. And the coda is priceless when Jack overhears a conversation between Chrissy and someone on the phone, involving Big Sur, and automatically leaps to the wrong conclusion. Another classic 'Three's Company' misunderstanding!

Seven out of 10.

Funny episode but Jack and Janet made a mistake

Warning: Spoilers
This is one funny and classic episode of Three's Company episode from Season 3, but here's what I don't understand. Jack and Janet weren't happy with Chrissy's decision to run off with a Religious Guru, who was nothing but a classic Con man and manipulator, why didn't they threaten to call her Father, Reverend Snow since she was the Daughter of a Minister. I always thought that was a bit strange that the writers didn't think of that for the episode, instead they rather have her loose interest when he was advancing on her sexually on the couch. It would have made sense with the ending scene when Chrissy was on the phone with her Dad if they had told her that they were going to call him to get her away from the Guru.
