Warning: Spoilers
This very funny debut episode of the third season centers around Jack, who has made a date with a new acquaintance, Samantha (Rebecca Clemons, "Any Which Way You Can"), forgetting that he already has a date in place for that night, with semi-regular girlfriend Linda (Anne Schedeen of 'Alf', making her second appearance on this series). So he weasels out of the date with Linda by pretending to be sick. Later, thinking that he will get the apartment to himself, he finds his date with Samantha continually interrupted.

'Double Date' delivers more of the classic misunderstandings, comic mayhem, and slapstick that served the series so well. As always, John Ritter is just downright hilarious. For example, his faces & reactions when he thinks he's going to get lucky. Norman Fell as Stanley has his moments, too - as the episode opens, *he's* having some bright, silly slapstick moments with a faucet he's attempting to repair. Then, when he thinks he's caught a cold from Jack, he uses it as a perfect excuse to avoid doing anything with Helen.

Some of the brightest moments involve a pot of chicken soup, a pan of water, and a blanket under which the roommates cuddle.

Eight out of 10.

I am from Hong Kong and love old American shows! This one is funny! I have black hair and want to color it blonde so I can look like Suzanne Somers. She is very pretty in the show.
