After being rejected by a girl, Burt ends up being consoled by Sandy and he develops a crush on her. When he sends her roses, Sandy thinks the flowers are from Principal Gordon, with whom she prefers to keep a professional relationship.
For an episode centered around a big misunderstanding, this one is too basic and isn't funny enough. The scene where Sandy tries to "cool things off" between her and Mr. Gordon should have been stronger. He is played by Richard Gilliland who was appearing as Mary Jo's boyfriend J. D. on DESIGNING WOMEN around the same time, but Mr. Gordon is a much stiffer character and not as laid-back as J. D was. 6/10.
