It's Valerie's birthday and the boys want to give her something other than the usual perfume, so they decide on a new garbage disposal, which they attempt to install themselves. All goes well until they do a celebration dance upon completing the job, and a monkey wrench literally spoils Valerie's surprise. But she has a bigger problem when a business acquaintance professes his love for her and gifts her with an expensive diamond necklace.
Like in Season 1's anniversary episode, Mark is the only one who is shown as having remembered Valerie's birthday. There is not much to recommend here. The best part is how Annie thinks that Valerie should keep the necklace - or at least have it appraised. Also, Mark is the one who gets the disposal up and running, except David forgot to tighten the water valve, so someone's going to end up all wet.
