Hercules fights Zeus to protect Xena's baby who is going to bring upon the fall of the gods
sexyonika2117 October 2006
great episode of Xena, love the fact Hercules was on it, was a sad episode because Herc killed Zeus. it was an excellent episode only disappointment was Herc did not ask who was the father it would have been interesting to see his reaction. ares was wonderfully , so was hades. Hera was surprising didn't think she would have help Hercules. the actors were great , you could see the emotions, wonderful job Lucy lawless, Renee o 'connor, Kevin Sorbo, Kevin smith, meg foster, Charles Keatings and all the other actors on this episode. i must say on this episode you could see the great friendship between Xena and Hercules that was developed. you could see the regret Hercules had when he had no choice but to fight Zeus. the sadness he had when he found out that Zeus was after Xena's baby. Herc really loves children and despite their differences Zeus and Herc love each other. this an episode that must be seen.

Xena's baby bring about a 2nd Hercules finale
eric20other200221 February 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This episode has a lot of strong points with just one major flaw, it was only one part. With so much stuff going on you would think that this would have been at least 2 episodes long. Charles Keating returns as Zeus and by this time he has become the definitive Zeus, only matched by Anthony Quinn in the TV Movies. Meg Forster is also back as Hera, reprising her role from the 2 part Series Finale of Hercules. You can see that Meg enjoyed having those moments to give Hercules and Hera some sort of absolution, a little letdown by how she exits the series, just felt rushed, especially considering how hard Zeus fought to get her back in the Hercules episode. Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor shine as always, they've spent lots of screen time together and you could really feel whether as friend or as a couple they were excited to be parents. Lucy Lawless had given birth in her personal life(lucky Rob Tapert)so I'm sure it wasn't hard for her to show the pain in giving birth. This episode does start up a new subplot in which we see Ares having feelings for her, which at the time was a nice surprise, look back now you can see that they were leading into it. Of course the biggest draw of the episode is having Kevin Sorbo back as Hercules, this aired after the Series Finale so this served as a stamp on that ending, showing that he once again he was still helping others. Overall I loved the episode and while I did feel it should have been a two parter it still satisfied in Hercules overall end(since Xena and Gabrielle are frozen for 25 years later on)and a new start with the Gods trying to kill the baby
