The episode begins with a bang as one man is drinking from a stream when another approaches and shots ring out. Both men fall to the ground. The shots are heard by a husband and wife, Jed and Kathy, and they find the two men and learn that one of the men, Bly Newsome, is a US Marshal and has received a bullet in the side. They guess the other man to be an outlaw. But what has happened is the outlaw, Garth Redfern, had just been grazed and soon grabs the wife and wants the husband to kill the unconscious Marshal.
The husband, Jed, begs for his wife's life and soon they decide that they will tell the Marshal that the outlaw was killed and that will be the end of the chase. But things do not go as plan when the Marshal get suspicious about the story Jed has told.
This episode turned in to a very nice story. The suspense was good and the show entertaining. There were a few rough spots with some of the fighting scenes being so fake it was nearly laughable but otherwise a nice tale that made for a good watch.
