Claudette Colbert makes a small screen appearance.

Claudette Colbert stars as Beth Brayden a woman that lives on a ranch in the rural west that happens to be married to a man that has little respect for others. It seems that living on the ranch has changed him from a caring individual to a man that has no regard for people. When Beth wants to move back west her husband, Jim refuses to even discuss the move.

While Jim is out looking for a horse thief, Beth decides to pack her clothes and leave without him. But when the young thief arrives at the door, Beth will truly get a chance to see how far her husband has fallen-- or how far the fall has taken her.

Claudette Colbert was one of my favorite actresses for nearly three decades. But it appears that she was just not made for the small screen. It seemed that she over-acted in some scenes as she was trying too hard to get the best performance. Not taking anything away from her ability, it just did not come across well on the TV. The ever-versatile actor John Dehner did a nice job as the husband which made the script much better. A nice story but one that produced nothing remarkable.
