That's probably the thirtieth - at least, if not twice more - story about comeback home and revenge; and also a study character drama instead of a pure western. The show uses western settings to make interesting topics, such as this one, where Wendell Corey gives an amazing performance, so strong and moving in the same time. And certainly not a good usual hero. A pure downbeat has been as I love to see in a film.
