Great start to a great show!

Lilly, Do You Want To Know A Secret? is the staring episode to the hit DC series Hannah Montana (Season #1 & Episode #1)

I started watching the series in early summer 2006 and this was one of the 1st HANNAH MONTANA episodes I've watched. It is also one the reasons why I love the show! I found the show to be really charming, really entertaining and REALLY funny!

Miley is just a normal high-school teenager, but actually on the other side she is a famous teen pop sensation called Hannah Montana - know one expect her family knows about her double life. She wonders if she should tell Lilly, her best friend her secret but it could wreck their friendship... which choice will she make? It is not until things get out of hand...

This episode is by far one of the best episodes of HANNAH MONTANA in my point of view. And now that I've seen all the episodes of this show, it is wonderful to see how the show progressed.

Episode One, great show

I love each character in the show, even Miley's dad (the actress's real dad, who also plays her dad on the show). I find him quite funny, and I'm not attracted to his type role as a rule. I like Miley better in successive shows -the highlight of this episode for me is her brother and dad singing into the banana. Corny, but funny and cute too. Oh wait, Miley and the "pie" is pretty good too - it reminds me: The writing and situations and acting remind me of the old I Love Lucy shows. (Remember acting? Real acting? This Disney show eschews drugs, swearing, violence, and sex - actors are "reduced" to... acting!) This is a different era, and the actors are mostly kids. I make the I Love Lucy comparison because I always find myself laughing, and enjoying each show (as an adult). Not a contemporary comparison, but it seems like Lucy and Ethyl et.al. had a pretty successful run, didn't they???

I didn't realize it at the time, but this is the first episode which introduces us to each character. Good first episode, this is almost my favorite show on television.

great story...bad acting

Warning: Spoilers
This was the first episode ever of Hannah Montana. I love Hannah Montana. And this episode had a real good story of Miley trying to find a way to tell Lilly, her best friend, that she is Hannah Montana. I absolutely loved it, and when it was online, at www.disneychannel.com, I watched it over and over again.

The only thing I don't like about this episode is the acting, but I don't blame the actors for not doing the best they ever did, because it was the first time. Miley Cyrus sounded like she was just saying her lines, and when Emily Osment said her lines going on, trying to stall, it didn't sound like she really meant it.

I think the only actor who did a good job acting in this first episode was Mitchel Musso, who really did sound like he was obsessed with marrying Hannah Montana. And I should no. I am always obsessed with how celebrities look!
