While on "The Dick Van Dyke Show" the Petries were supposed to be an exceptionally sweet and happy couple, several times the program undermined this was a few episodes which made the marriage look less than ideal. These are among my least favorite episodes.
In "Bank Book 6565696", Rob discovers a passbook account and apparently Laura has socked away a few hundred dollars...and never told him. Rob imagines all sorts of things and ultimately thinks this money is to buy him a movie projector. But when he doesn't get it, he begins to suspect the worst, leading to a nasty confrontation with Laura.
As I said above, the jealousy and suspicion episodes really didn't fit in well with the happy marriage shows. It's not a bad episode but clearly doesn't do a lot when it comes to continuity of the characters.
