The One Where D.J. Gets A Job...
taylorkingston18 June 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this episode. I think it's still very relevant today, which is surprising, considering the episode is from 1991.

In this episode, D.J. begs her Dad to let her get a job. He agrees as long as she keeps up good grades at school. She gets a job as an assistant in a portrait studio. When she fails her next assignment, Kimmy makes the 'F' grade, an 'A'. Jesse realizes what she's done and insists she tells Danny. Meanwhile, Jesse and Becky argue about where they should have their wedding. Becky wants to have the ceremony in Nebraska, where as Jesse wants to get married at Graceland.

Overall, I give this episode a 7 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Great.

Juggling Work And School.
Movie-ManDan25 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I think all teenagers can relate to this. But some might get off as easy as DJ. But all wish their outcomes were better.

DJ wants a new pair of tennis shoes. The clincher is the price set at $160. She tells Danny that she can pay for the shoes herself by getting a job as a photography assistant. As the assistant, she dresses up as a clown to make people smile. They tried to make the bits of her at work funny but they came across as tacky. So Danny is reluctant to let DJ work because her grade is science is slipping. DJ does want the shoes, but what she really wants is to be a responsible adult. When she fails her latest test, Kimmy changes the grade to an A, fooling Danny. How long can this go on?

Balancing work and school is something that teens and young adults are faced with a lot. Keeping both even are sometimes unbearable. But just imagine if DJ was forced to keep the job afterwards to learn her lesson and learn the value of a dollar. Some are not this lucky. But this episode's exploration into the subject was well done.

Warning: Spoilers
In this episode, DJ gets a job so she can buy new, expensive sneakers; but on one condition: that she raise her "D" in biology. Meanwhile, Jesse and Rebecca fight over where to get married, and Michelle joins the "polite police". This was a nice episode which focuses on making sacrifices, lying, and being polite. Best part of the episode (in my opinion) is when Michelle asks Stephanie for a cookie, and Stephanie shows Michelle that sometimes even when you say "please" that someone can politely say "no you may not"; and it will still be polite..and Michelle says "you know what!?!?, politeness week is over!" and steals her cookie and runs.
